Pointer records not updating

Foreman version: foreman-1.4.0-1.el6.noarch Proxy version: foreman-proxy-1.4.0-1.el6.noarch I have foreman proxy setup to manage dns and dhcp successfully.Steps to reproduce:- edit host, change hostname- submit, message appear: DNS PTR record exist... After this the hostname will be changed on foreman and dhcp but no update will be done on DNS.DHCP is repeating the first three octets when it adds a PTR record.

If no PTRs exist, there will be no details listed and attempts to update will result in an error.

To add a Reverse DNS PTR record, refer to Add and Edit a PTR (Pointer) Record.

Follow the steps below to update a Reverse DNS record.

Reverse DNS overview: Reverse DNS is setup very similar to how normal (forward) DNS is setup.

When you delegate forward DNS the owner of the domain tell the registrar to have your domain use certain name servers.

Even foreman proxy logs won't show any nsupdate for the new hostname. Cannot reproduce the issue -- A and PTR records are being created and updated correctly.
