HHS Federal Dating Violence Awareness Events The Family Violence Prevention and Services Program in the Family and Youth Services Bureau strives to bring visibility to the work of advocates, the strength of victims, and the Federal initiatives addressing the issues of domestic violence, dating violence, and family violence every day.

Throughout the month of February, there will be several Federal awareness events taking place to highlight the issue of teen dating violence, such as webinars or conference calls.

Unhealthy relationships can affect people of all ages, and many teenagers do not recognize the severity of dating abuse, or they do not report it because they are afraid or ashamed to speak up.
